These photos were taken October 11, 2008 about 2:30 p.m. Most of our stops are at deserted courthouses, silent during the weekend. Four women were huddled together on a bench near the door, with a notebook on the lap of the youngest one. I didn't ask what their project was....they didn't ask what my project was about...but they did enjoy petting Priscilla and Gracie for a few moments before we all returned to our tasks.
