Judge's bench made with carved wood
The judge's bench - beautifully carved details. The bench, rail, and gallery seating are original furnishings.
View with old record books in foreground; interior wall brick with arch over window in background
Many nooks and crannies are used for storage. This area shows the interior brick, arched over a window, as well as beautifully leather bound records.
Clapper and bell in the bell tower.
The clock and bell were installed in 1909. The bell needs to be rotated occasionally - note the discolored area from years of striking
Basement wall constructed with stone and brick
Inside the basement, you see the thick layer of heavy limestone and brick that have supported the courthouse for over a century.
